The assignment was to create chocolate packaging with focus on a vintage era. The chosen design style is Art Deco from the 1920's; the roaring 20's, also knows as The Jazz Age. During this time, many Americans experienced an unfamiliar affluent lifestyle. They could afford to buy cars, technologically advanced home appliances and etc. The era embodied the beginning of modern America and the creation of luxury design.
The packaging focuses on intense dark romance therefore, the name Passion seemed fitting for the brand. The use of contrasting colors and minimal elements create a striking effect. Excerpts of poetry have been placed at the back to create a more personal and engaging consumer experience. It is minimal, it is luxurious and it is passionately romantic.
